It’s just SPECIAL.

I'm a believer in the power of connection. A sense of community is what makes rural life oh so special.

Hardly General is a place for our community to come together. When we aren't opening our doors for fun-filled public events, our charming building can be rented for private parties.

Big or small, we are honored to be a part of any special gathering. Book this quaint locale and see for yourself. Hosting is easy with Hardly General….

….This space on Main Street was born out of a love for my small town life and the desire to help spark our rural community.

Our FAMILY

We have full hands and a lot of helpers at Hardly General. Our small family loves to welcome visitors to Moville's Main Street.

Our LEGACY

Hardly General is more than a building on a rural Main Street. I grew up in Moville. After spending years away, I was drawn back to the small-town way of life. Now that I'm raising my own babies here, I am working hard so they can grow up with that same appreciation for their community. Together we can spark creativity and growth. The HG family is honored to be a small part of the big things happening right here in our hometown.

“Why do you do this?” A question I’m often asked. With three littles and a full time job, time can be stretched even before my Hardly General work begins.

Simple, I want my children to appreciate their hometown as much as I do. My hope is that a childhood spent participating in and enjoying our small town will build appreciation and relationships they carry with them for years to come.

There are so many ways to be active in a community, my favorite just happens to include gatherings.
